Sanna, Sorceress Apprentice
(due November, 06 from Author House)
Sanna is a fiber artist with a Talent for magic. She knits self-heating mittens and waterproof socks. She knits broken bones and darns torn flesh. Growing up with six brothers around her father's race-horse training stables has made her rough and ready. When she leaves her rustic mountain home to attend the Thon Academy of Magic for Young Ladies of Exceptional Talent, she does not fit in with most of her pampered, city-bred classmates. The exception is a mad-cap, professional thief who becomes Sanna's best friend. Together, they rescue a handsome prince in disguise from a fate worse than death. He and Sanna fall in love at first kiss. But a Sorceress must devote all her time and attention to her magic. When her prince proposes, Sanna must choose between love and magic.

"A good book . . . funny, well paced, with good characters and situations . . . I'm more than willing to recommend it!"
Anne McCaffrey (Author of Dragon Riders of Pern.)
"A sweet romp." Barbara Bova
"Roxanna Matthews is the rare writer who can engage us immediately with her quick wit and opulent language. In 'Sanna,' Matthews weaves a tale of adventure and discovery featuring an enchanting heroine who infuses magic into everything she touches. The story is absorbing, and the details delightful. 'Sanna' is a joy to read." Marcy Andersen, book reviewer for 'The Greater Dinwiddie Clarion'
